!OutProud!, The National Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Youth
A big website with tons of information, message boards and online brochures to find information on issues relating to sexual orientation

PFLAG, Can We Understand?
Coming out to parents can be a very traumatic time for both you and your parents. Check the information on the URL listed here and consider printing it out. If you don't want to give it directly to them, you could think about leaving it in a place where they can "discover" it to read while they are alone. It can help to settle their emotions once you have told them about being gay.

Youth Assistance Organization (YAO or YOUTH.ORG)
A service run by volunteers, created to help self-identifying gay, lesbian, bisexual and questioning youth. YAO exists to provide young people with a safe space online to be themselves.

Gayteens.org
Free independent counselling service designed primarily for gay teen's to communicate their fears and concerns with someone over the internet.

The Trevor Project
On August 11, 1998, The Trevor Project launched The Trevor Helpline, the first round-the-clock national toll-free suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Teens with nowhere to turn can call 800-850-8078, where they can talk to trained counselors, find local resources and take important steps on their way to becoming healthy adults. All calls are free and confidential.

Oasis Youth, the home of Oasis
The only online magazine for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. Each month Oasis brings you news and entertainment written by and about queer youth. It's a desert out there, so come to the Oasis!

!OutProud!, Watching Out For Yourself In Online Relationsips
Electronic services allow people freedoms that the real world does not. Forty-year-old men can become a teenagers again. Wedding bands aren't at all visible in the on-line world. And everyone's body tends to become thin and smaller when they log on (well, not all areas get smaller). The problem is that some people think that everyone is a potential sex partner, simply because you share the same sexual orientation. And they know that they can manipulate a gay teen, playing on your sense of wanting to be wanted. Or convincing you that certain sexual activities are what being lesbian or gay is all about.

"A high impact site created by a 16 year old gay teenager to vividly express his personal experience on his journey of sexual discovery being a gay. This site also features a collection of true stories and experiences of gay, lesbian and bisexuals and at the same time, fights to stop homophobia. "The purpose of the Out List is to celebrate the accomplishments of our community and to show people, especially those struggling with their sexuality, that hundreds of prominent persons have come out as homosexual or bisexual and kept their careers, their fortunes, and the love and respect of others." This list was made in 1995...many people could be added to the list today. For example, Ellen Degeneres, Anne Heche and Sean P. Hayes.

Queer Youth Resources from Community United Against Violence
"CUAV has a long history of working with young queer people. We speak before thousands of young people through our Lesbian and Gay Speakers Bureau with the the twin goals of providing positive models for out and questioning youth and educating young minds about what it is like to be queer in the hopes that they will be less likely to bash or taunt us." They have some youth resource links, too.
